I have always wanted to write.

I am sure that all authors say that.

And it is true of me too. But I never thought that I would do it.
As a child my mum use to encourage my daydreams. And I really did daydream. It got me into trouble when I was found staring out the window instead of doing my school work.

My 5th class teacher recognized that I loved to tell stories and dream up stories that were not always conventional. So, he encouraged me to write. And I did. I have schoolbooks full of my jottings and dreams.
But my spelling was not good, and I found it difficult to read. But I practiced and read and read. By the time I got to High School I was writing plays and poetry and stories.

However, as happens to a lot of people I was told I was not good enough and that I was aiming to high to achieve any goals in writing. I listened to those who lacked faith in me.
When I got married things changed. I married a man who believed I could do what ever I set my mind to. So, I did. I wrote the history of his then 100 year old Legal firm.  (It is now almost 130 years old)    Finally I was published. I love history and it certainly enabled me to get the taste of writing back into my system.
But I had children and raised them I did diploma courses in writing and other studies to improve my skills. I Joined RWA Australia in 2008 due to a love of both romance and happy endings

So now I have two books published and am working on many more. Kids are all grown up and I have given up my day jobs so that I can finally do what I love.

So onwards and up wards.
